Type Approval
Gleeson Truck Bodies are Type Approved Commercial Vehicle Body Builders
Goods vehicles (e.g. Vans and Trucks) and their trailers are now required to be ‘Type Approved’. That is, manufactured to prescribed safety and environmental standards before they can be registered or entered into service on Irish roads.
This is a legal requirement approval known as European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWVTA). ECWVTA is a series of stringent tests that a vehicle, or part of a vehicle, must pass before it can be registered for use on a public road.
